As a licensed agent in the state of Minnesota laws and regulations do not allow us to share with you if we know or do not know if a certain areas have had issues with crime or if a predator offenders living in the area. So if you do not know the area or you are relocating to a new area what can you do when looking for a new home?
My best suggestion for you is to:
- Talk to friends, family and coworkers.
- When visiting the area, ask your local teller at the bank or the cashier at the grocery store where they live and what they like and don't like about their neighborhood.
- Spend some time driving around the different areas of the city in the evenings or weekends.
- And before you put an offer on a home, knock on your future neighbor’s door and introduce yourself! Don't be afraid to ask your agent representing you to knock on the door with you too! They can break the ice, and they may even find a home to put a For Sale Sign in the future!
